offers children with emotional disorders an opportunity
to participate in an intensive non-residential program
and in many cases prevent hospitalization or placement
in a residential facility. Children live at home and attend
Club HERO during after-school hours. Children participate
in our Club HERO program 2-3 hours a day, M-Th. Requires
referral for intake, assessments, and admission criteria
be met.

The H.E.R.O. acronym describes the four goals of the
program
:1. Help Kids learn and practice positive, prosocial
behaviors.
2. Empower Kids to recognize and take responsibility
for their own choices, behavior and attitude.
3. Reintegrate and/or keep kids in their natural home
and school setting
.4. Overcome behavior problems through the use of positive
reinforcement techniques, and parent and family support.
